Many of the free Excel downloads are simply beta tests, testing the level of interest they may generate. This in turn determines if additional programming time should be initiated to a specific data management idea and converted to a reasonably priced sellable product. Its a known fact, individuals do not like reading directions, but I've spent an extensive amount of time developing instructions and creating comment boxes throughout these programs, please read them. The intent of these spreadsheets are to simplify managing an auto dealership, not complicate its daily routines. Must I have Microsoft® Excel installed on my computer? Yes, you must have Microsoft® Excel installed on your system to actively use workbooks, these are spreadsheet templates not the actual Microsoft Excel program. When trying to make an entry, I get the message the cell is protected? The usage of these spreadsheets has been simplified by incorporating color coding within the worksheets. Only cells Yellow in Color allow you to input an entry, occasionally these cells may turn Red in color if an error entry occurs, these are the only cells that allow an entry. All remaining cells are either informational or calculations. I'm not able to access pages in a Macro driven workbook I've downloaded? The reason is, Excel® has within its program a Security Setting for Macros - Visual Basic Program Code. You will need to adjust your security settings. This is simply done by opening Excel and on ther Toolbar click on "Tools", next click on "Macros", then click on "Security" and set the Security Level to Medium. Where are the Workbook - Worksheet Tabs? Some of the more extensive programs incorporate "Forms Buttons" which simplify spreadsheet usage. Accessing different worksheets or reports is done by simply clicking on a forms button, not by selecting worksheet tabs. I'm interested in Purchasing a Workbook with an End-User License Fee. How does it work? Call ... Call ... Specifically request from IntactAuto® Holding, LLC a workbook designed for a different region or prior to using this Excel workbook, close all currently active programs and temporarily change your computer region setting to English (United States). How to Change Region: Close all currently active programs Click on the Start Button and Locate “My Computer”, Click on “Change a Setting” Locate & Click on “Regional and Language Options” within the "Control Panel" Within "Regional Options – Standards and Format" use dropdown, select English (Untied States). Click “Apply” Reverse this process when done using workbook, before access other programs on your computer. Don't like reading instructions? After speaking to hundreds of individuals who have attempted to use these free Excel downloads I’ve come to the conclusion; individuals just don’t like reading instructions. If your one of them?
